Belief

: good rehabilitation involves the healing process of all body, mind and spirit hence a holistic care of a patient is the key

: a good recovery should get beyond simply fixing one’s  injured body part but instead, acquiring a relearning of movements of the whole body in order to allow one to reach his/hers maximum potential of physical fitness, and therefore future injuries can be prevented - as we achieve a good grounding in the phrase of pre-habilitation.

Annie

GYROTONIC®️ Apprentice
Polestar Pilates Studio Certified

“Happiness lies first of all in health”
—— George William Curtis

Annie is not a “traditional” Pilates teacher who comes from strong sports related background. She has been working as an administrator for many years, and from that she spent hours and hours hunching over a desk and computer- this common yet harming posture provided her with shoulder pain, kyphosis and low back pain.

It is often said that pain is a great motivator, and to Annie, this is obviously the case! When her shoulders hurt so much that she could hardly lift her arms and the pain starts to affect her daily lives, she was fortunate enough to come across Pilates. Ever since Annie started practicing Pilates regularly, her body has completely changed. She even believes that Pilates has changed her life. This is the reason why she decided to take Pilates instructor as her future career direction.

Thanks to her past physical problems and the history of her successfully getting rid of her pain through Pilates, she is a life demonstration of how Pilates is a perfect form of exercise for the general public. She believe that people from all ages and from different backgrounds are all able to obtain benefits from Pilates.
